Creating a sound for Torque

Torque can play many different sound files, but for this example we will focus on the ogg vorbis format.

First locate a sound editor of your choice, Audacity is a great one to try so we will use it.

Once in Audacity go to the "File" menu at the top left and select Open.

Next, open the audio file in Audacity and reopen the "File" menu at the top.

When under the "File" menu select "Export" and an export screen will appear.

Change the "Save as Type" option to "Ogg Vorbis Files", and locate a folder to save it in also type the name you wish to save it as.

After that click on "Save". You might encounter a screen asking to edit Metadata, just click on "OK" and it will start exporting.

Close Audacity after you are finished exporting. If it asks you if you wish to save changes to the project click on "NO" and continue.

The file is now ready for Torque to use.
