Getting Started Tutorial

Introduction

Using the Camera

Using the camera is extremely easy. Constructor has a small axis that acts as a point in space. This is an important feature to remember as the camera revolves around it.

Moving the mouse wheel back and forth allows you to move forward or back relative to your point in space while.

Holding down the mouse wheel allows you to pan around in any direction. This also moves your point in space.

Holding down right click allows you to rotate around your point.

Ctrl + Right click has the same functionality as holding down the mouse wheel. You pan around moving your point in space.

Alt + Right click zooms in/out relative to your point in space.

Prefabs

Creating a new prefab is extremely easy and requires 2 features.

1. A map file for the actual prefab

2. 3 images that share the same name as your map file but with 32,64,and128 added to the end of them. (Optional, but definitely helpful)

If you choose not to have those 3 images then your prefab icon will look something like this: Image:Prefabunknown.png

ManagePrefabs can be found under System. The default prefabs are in a section called "Demo Prefabs" You can add more and specify the directory from which they can be loaded from giving you complete control

Still stuck?
