View Tools
There are times when it is useful to work off of the normal grid. Constructor has a number of flexible tools that allow for a variety of different grid alignments. These can be found in the View Tab of the Tools Panel.
Workplane Adjustment Tools
Reset Workplane
This tool resets the workplane to the world's origin.
Align Workplane to Selected Face
This tool aligns the workplane to the normal of the currently selected face, allowing you to build up from odd-angled surfaces.
Reset Workplane to Selected Face's Texture
Similar to Align Workplane to Selected Face, but uses the normal and angle of the texture on the selected face instead of the surface properties.
Move Workplane to Selected Brush's Origin
This tool sets the workplane to the currently selected brush's origin, but keeps it aligned to the world axis. Useful for bringing the workplane to a different altitude.
Align Workplane to Selected Brush's Origin
This tool sets the workplane and its axis to the currently selected brush's origin.
Scene Workplanes
Activate Workplane Pulldown
Use this pulldown to select a saved workplane and make it active.
Save Workplane to Scene...
Save the current workplane for future use.
Manage Scene Workplanes....
View and edit a list of the custom workplanes that you have saved.
View Shortcuts
END: Reset Workplane.
HOME: Align Workplane to Selected Face.
Shift+HOME: Reset Workplane to Selected Face's Texture.
Ctrl+HOME: Align Workplane to Selected Brush's Origin.
